LAMBERTS Natural Beta Carotene 15mg
With addition of carotenoids
Beta-carotene is one of the most important colorants of plants and is found throughout the plant kingdom. It is a family of carotenoids and, when taken orally, is a precursor to Vitamin A. For this reason it is often referred to as “provitamin A”. The conversion of β-carotene to vitamin A occurs in the liver, kidneys and intestinal mucosa, depending on the physiological needs of the body. B-carotene is considered as one of the most important micro-nutrients, as it is one of the main antioxidant diet.
Antioxidants are substances that contribute to the elimination of harmful free radicals whose production in the body is also normal, due to intracellular metabolic reactions. Uncontrolled free radical production can lead to cellular damage.
Lamberts Natural Beta Carotene is extracted in its natural form from Dunaliella Salina, which is a pink seaweed found on the seashore surfaces and contains small amounts of other carotenoids. The growth of the organism is in a high salt water environment, which helps to prevent contamination by pathogenic microorganisms.
Vitamins are natural substances (organic compounds of low molecular weight), with an important role in the normal development and functioning of the human body. They are mainly found in foods (with the exception of VIT-D and VIT-K synthesized by the human body), they even act in very small quantities, have no caloric value and their role in normal organic function is due to the ability to regulate important metabolic processes.
Vitamins have differences in structure and function and are divided into two main categories: water-soluble (vitamin C and B-complex vitamins) and fat-soluble (vitamin A, D, K and E) LAMBERTS has a complete range of all water-soluble and fat-soluble vitamins in separate formulations to achieve specialization of treatment. Doses of vitamin preparations are based on the World Health Organization’s (WHO) guidelines to avoid the possibility of over-vitaminosis.
Finally, LAMBERTS manufactures its vitamin formulations, following important pharmacokinetic rules, to achieve the highest possible absorption, bioavailability, and therefore efficacy of the vitamin administered (typical example is VIT-C manufactured in a controlled release tablet form. -C is highly water-soluble and absorption in the form of an effervescent tablet or immediate release tablet results in rapid absorption and elimination via urine. LAMBERTS’s VIT-C remains 6-8 hours in the intestine and is gradually absorbed by perfectly covering the patient during the day.)
